MUSINSA Wins iF Design Award Main Prize for ‘MUSINSA Store Seongsu@Daelim Warehouse’ Earning Five Total Awards Across Exhibition and Product Categories

MUSINSA’s ‘MUSINSA Store Seongsu@Daelim Warehouse,’ which opened last year, was selected as a winner in the spatial design category at the prestigious German design competition, the iF Design Award. Additionally, MUSINSA secured a main prize in the exhibition category, highlighted by three pop-up store projects, including the 2024 in-house ‘Season Preview’ event.

MUSINSA recently won the main prize in the ‘Retail Store Interior Design’ category at the iF Design Award 2025, a prestigious global design competition held in Germany, for its MUSINSA Store Seongsu@Daelim Warehouse. The iF Design Award, established in 1953 and organized by Germany’s International Forum, selects winners based on excellence and distinctiveness across nine categories, including △Product, △UI & UX, △Interior Design, and △Architecture.

MUSINSA Store Seongsu@Daelim Warehouse, which opened in September last year in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, is distinguished by its reflection of the heritage of Daelim Warehouse, a prominent local cultural complex. The store preserves original architectural elements such as red brick walls, gabled roofs, and steel columns, while showcasing trendy fashion brands to create a unique and vibrant atmosphere. By remodeling an old building that embodies the area’s industrial history, it maintains symbolic value while establishing a store that embraces the new fashion culture of Seongsu-dong.

MUSINSA also received the main prize in the Exhibition category, led by three projects: △25SS MUSINSA Season Preview(August 2024) △24FW MUSINSA Season Preview(February 2024) and △Oddtype Seongsu Pop-up(May 2024). Beyond spatial design, in the product category, 29CM’s private brand, 29’, won the main prize in the tableware category for its Balloon Goblet.

A MUSINSA official stated, “It is highly meaningful that MUSINSA’s spatial design capabilities have been recognized as competitive in the global market through this prestigious international design award.” They added, “We plan to continue showcasing MUSINSA’s unique and sophisticated designs across both online and offline platforms.”
