MUSINSA has obtained an international certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for its safety and health management system applied to employees working across its offline stores.
MUSINSA RETAIL SERVICE, the subsidiary responsible for operating and managing MUSINSA’s offline retail locations, recently received the ISO 45001 certification from the Korea ESG Standards Institute. ISO 45001 is the global standard established in March 2018 to prevent and manage potential hazards in the workplace, reduce industrial accidents, and ensure safe working environments for employees.
MUSINSA RETAIL SERVICE has established a systematic framework that includes safety and health management policies and objectives, as well as internal audits, safety regulation compliance and evaluation, incident response systems, and communication channels for employees. Earlier this year, MUSINSA and its logistics subsidiary, MUSINSA LOGISTICS, also obtained ISO 45001 certification.
MUSINSA RETAIL SERVICE operates and manages the offline stores of the modern basic casualwear brand MUSINSA STANDARD, as well as editorial shops MUSINSA Store and MUSINSA EMPTY. The company changed its name from STDC to MUSINSA RETAIL SERVICE in the second half of this year and currently oversees more than 30 stores across Seoul, Gyeonggi, Daegu, Busan, and other regions.
A representative from MUSINSA RETAIL SERVICE stated, “We place the highest priority on the safety and health of our employees and are committed to establishing a strong occupational health and safety culture,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our sustainability efforts through enhanced EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) management.”
