MUSINSA Signs Strategic Partnership with Global Cosmetics ODM Company COSMAX — “Co-developing New Beauty Private-Label Products”

MUSINSA has entered into a strategic partnership with global cosmetics Original Development and Manufacturing(ODM) company COSMAX to enhance its beauty business capabilities and accelerate the development of differentiated beauty products.

The two companies recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) at MUSINSA’s headquarters in Seongsu, Seoul, marking the beginning of a long-term strategic collaboration. The partnership aims to further strengthen the expertise of MUSINSA’s private-label beauty brands, including △ODDTYPE, △WHIZZY, △MUSINSA STANDARD BEAUTY, and △Rest & Recreation Beauty.

MUSINSA currently operates a diverse portfolio of beauty brands: ODDTYPE, known for its innovative formulations and applicators; WHIZZY, targeting younger consumers; MUSINSA STANDARD BEAUTY, focused on essential and fundamental products; and Rest & Recreation Beauty, a makeup line co-launched with the fashion brand Rest & Recreation that emphasizes sophisticated design.

Through this agreement, MUSINSA and COSMAX will combine their respective strengths—MUSINSA’s brand planning expertise and COSMAX’s advanced R&D and manufacturing capabilities—to boost the global competitiveness of MUSINSA’s beauty business. The collaboration will encompass a wide range of initiatives, including: △Joint development of new cosmetic ingredients △Co-creation of new technologies and formulations for upcoming product △Execution of COSMAX China production projects for MUSINSA’s beauty brands.

Additionally, MUSINSA plans to develop new functional whitening ingredients utilizing COSMAX’s proprietary 'White Plussome™' technology, with the goal of launching new products under its private-label beauty brands.
