On September 23, MUSINSA unveiled a new collaboration collection with LACOSTE under its “MUSINSA Edition”, a special lineup of products released exclusively on the platform through partnerships with brands, artists, and creators.
This marks the second collaboration between MUSINSA and LACOSTE. Following the strong response to their first partnership in September last year — which was the first-ever collaboration between LACOSTE and a Korean fashion company — the two brands have reunited this season to present an all-new capsule collection.
The latest collection was developed through a year-long collaboration between MUSINSA and fashion creator “FIT THE SIZE”, with both parties jointly involved in the product planning and design process. The collection reinterprets Lacoste’s classic heritage with a fresh twist by incorporating garment-washing techniques and a vintage-inspired mood.
The lineup consists of 10 versatile casual pieces, including △long-sleeve T-shirts △shirts △sweatshirts △sweat shorts △sweatpants △half-zip hoodies, and more — offering a wide range of styling options for everyday wear.
The collection received an overwhelming response from customers, with more than 70% of the initial stock selling out within just three hours of its release on September 23. All items from the collaboration claimed the No. 1 to No. 6 spots on MUSINSA’s “Rising Popularity” rankings, and several products even sold out again after additional restocks.
The collaboration between MUSINSA and global fashion brands is proving highly impactful, especially among younger consumers. Many global labels — which have traditionally focused on department stores and their own flagship boutiques — are now expanding their online customer touchpoints through partnerships with MUSINSA. In fact, MUSINSA Edition products co-created with global brands continue to achieve commercial success, showcasing the powerful synergy between MUSINSA’s creative planning capabilities and the heritage of international fashion houses.
